From the Thetford Energy Committee
We need volunteers for the Window Dressers project - and volunteers to feed the volunteers!
Jan. 4 - 9, in shifts from 8:30am - 4pm at the North Thetford Church on Route 5.
The Thetford and Strafford Energy Committees have teamed up to participate in the nonprofit Window Dressers program this year. We have recruited about 30 homes in our towns this first year, many of whose income qualifies for discounted inserts - and will be building about 250 energy saving window inserts at our community workshops. We need your help.
The workshops will take place in 4-hour shifts in the morning and afternoon and a community lunch in the middle. We are looking for volunteers to sign up for shifts to either assemble the inserts or help make and serve lunches.
We need to feed 18 volunteers every day. We are still in need of cheese, muffins, crackers, vegetable platters, bread and soup for a community lunch.
If you can drop food off at the church or help build inserts, please sign up today. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Kiess at 802-299-5864.
Thanks, and we hope you can help.
